Boats moored at the landing stage at Ray Mill Island on the River Thames in Maidenhead on a summer's day. Behind us is the busy and historic Boulters Lock. Ray Mill Island is named after the Ray family who once owned the flour mill just behind where we are standing. The mill stopped producing flour in the 1920s and is now a restaurant. My original photograph has been edited as a coloured pencil drawing.
