A Collection of Valentine’s Day postcards that are 100 years or more old. Together, they make up a wonderful pattern.

A replica of a vintage Christmas postcard from the early 1900s. A cute winter scene of a boy and a girl and A Merry Christmas is written on it as well. I did minimal touch ups to the original postcard. I wrote A Merry Christmas over the original writing as the original writing was quite worn away. I also did small touch ups along the edges as it was quite torn. Any remaining signs of wear were left on purpose in order to keep that authentic vintage feel. A great little card or postcard, or a unique design on a scarf or home decor.

Vintage Advertisement of an Electric Belt

A view from the western shoreline of Thirlmere in Cumbria's Lake District looking towards the Skiddaw range of the Northern Fells. Thirlmere which is 3.5 miles long and about 188 feet deep, was created in the late 1800s to supply water to ManchesterAlthough the main road from Ambleside to Keswick runs along the eastern shore, by far the best views are found by driving along the narrow road on its western side.

Harlow was a small community just west of State Highway 34 about four miles south of Greenville in central Hunt County, Texas. The settlement began in the late 1800s by the Harlow family and had just one business, the Harlow General Store, which opened in 1890. The store supplied the small population of the town and those passing through along the highway, and also was an outlet for the Harlow family's crops. The town itself was shown on county highway maps beginning in the '30s, and by the '80s, the community all but disappeared, both from maps and from the northeastern Texas landscape.

I found this 1880s postcard under the name Sultry Santa. It is quite hard to tell what this Santa is up to and his features seem to be both masculine and feminine. This unique postcard was covered in mildew and dirt and so I did my best to restore it while still leaving the main parts in their original condition. So if you spot signs of wear, please know it was left there on purpose! Typically I like to leave postcards as I find them but this one was in really bad shape.

Vintage Advertisement Design for Bicycles

From an original engraving published 1881. The engraving is titled temple of Isis, Island of Philae, but I think this is actually the building referred to as Trajan's Kiosk. Info from: touregypt.net: This is the so-called Kiosk, sometimes referred to as "Pharaoh's Bed". The rectangular building has fourteen columns with beautifully carved floral capitals that once supported a wooden roof. Only two of the screen walls between the columns are completed. They show the Emperor Trajan burning incense before Isis and Osiris and offering wine to Isis and Horus.
