It seems that every Whovian has "their" Doctor. This is usually their first Doctor or their favorite Doctor, or both. I don't like playing favorites. "My" Doctor is always the one I'm currently watching. But, be that as it may, the ninth Doctor introduced me to Doctor Who. I've told the story many times - I didn't like the show at first. I didn't hate it either. I just didn't find it very interesting for the first three to five episodes. On many levels, Doctor Who is sort of a slow burner, as there are a lot of strange things about the show, especially for an American. It wasn't until my third attempt on a weekend in 2012 when I was house-sitting and had nothing else to do but watch Netflix all day that I pushed through the first five ep...

Christopher Eccleston brought the reboot back to life as the 9th doctor, with his leather jackets and his catchphrase, "fantastic!" Pay homage with these products.

“We all change when you think about it. We're all different all through our lives. And that's okay, that's good. You've got to keeping moving. As long as you remember all the people that you used to be. I will not forget one line of this, not one day. I swear. I will always remember when the Doctor was me.” I came up with this idea shortly before the premiere of the Series 8 and the new Doctor, Peter Capaldi. I wanted to honor all the regenerations in one painting. It's one of my largest - 48" x 24". The concept of a regenerating lead character is what makes Doctor Who so special. This was a commissioned piece for an auction that my cousin put together for Harper’s Day - a day devoted to her lost child. I felt that this image perfectly captured the love of a mother. This was also the scene that really created my obsession with Doctor Who. The proceeds of the auction were given to an organization that helps to stop the child sex slave trade.
