All Saints, Oxford Number of views as of 8th November 2017 = 700. In March 1700, the spire of the original All Saints church of Oxford, England (dating from 1122) collapsed, destroying most of the building. After an appeal for funds, the current building was completed in 1720. However in 1975, the church was deconsecrated and is now the library of Lincoln College. Date: 30th October 2010.

All Saints, Weybourne Number of views as of 9th June 2019 = 425. The 15th century church of All Saints (Weybourne, North Norfolk, England) shares its grounds with the remains of a 12th century Augustinian priory. That's not all however. The priory incorporated an earlier Saxon building, dating from the 10th or 11th century, and the remains of that church tower still stand (right of shot). Date: 12th August 2010. In Nomini Patris, et Fili, Et Spiritus Sancti

As an artist who likes to draw and paint spooky things, I've mostly stayed away from depicting other people's characters. Then in the summer of 2015 I had this idea to do a series of portraits of characters that I like from movies and books centered around Halloween, and by mid-October I had completed 5. This is Billy Butcherson from the Disney Halloween classic movie "Hocus Pocus".

A very different Georgian style church with medieval tower and a magnificent interior, the altar piece is a copy of the Da Vinci painting of the Last Supper. Only the 15th Century tower remains of the original medical church . Between 1734 and 1744 the main body of the church was rebuilt in the Georgian classical style. It was designed by Francis Smith of Warwick and greatly influenced by James Gibbs the designer of St Martins in the Fields in Trafalgar Square. The young Clare devoted herself to a life of prayer, penance, and charitable works, deciding to remain a virgin. Hearing of her virtue, Francis talked with her, and on Palm Sunday in 1212, Clare left her family home to join Francis in his way of life. Francis settled Clare and several other noble women who joined her at the Church of San Damiano outside Assisi. Pope Innocent IV approved a Rule Clare had composed, preserving the radical commitment to poverty, to which she clung throughout her life as a religious. Hers was the first such Rule, written by a woman, to be approved by the Church. The sisters are primarily contemplative, devoting themselves to prayer and supporting themselves by the work of their hands.

St. Agnes (purity) is one of seven women in the canon of the Mass with Cecilia, Felicity (happiness), Perpetua (steadfastness), Agatha (goodness), Lucy (light), and Anastasia (resurrection). The canon thereby represents various vocations and three important centers of Western Christianity: Carthage, Sicily and Rome. No saint was more revered in the early Church than this young girl who suffered persecution under the Emperor Diocletian and who, according to her 5th-century acta, was only 13-years-old when she died. The name Agnes in Greek means ‘chaste’ and in Latin signifies a ‘lamb’ (Saint Augustine, Sermon 274). Thus, she represents all that is pure and virtuous in womanhood. St. Mathilda was the daughter of Theodoric, a Saxon Count. At an early age she was placed in the monastery of Erfurt under the care of Maud, her grandmother, who was Abbess of the monastery which she had entered after the death of her husband. She remained in the convent until her marriage, in 913, to Henry "the Fowler". He Duke in 916 on the death of his father, and in 919 he was chosen to succeeded Conrad as King of Germany. The pious Queen adorned the throne by her many virtues. She visited and comforted the sick and the afflicted, instructed the ignorant, succored prisoners, and endeavored to convert sinners, and her husband concurred with her in her pious undertakings. She died in 968. Memorial: March 14th.

All Saints Church in the parish of Hope on Romney Marsh, Kent, UK. Already falling into decay by the late 16th century due to The Black Death, changes in land use and hostile living conditions the church was used by smugglers as a meeting place. Now it has a new flock. HDR created from one RAW file processed as three DNG files in Photomatix, adjustments in CS6 with some help from Topaz Filters. Nikon D60 with Sigma 10-20 zoom, with tripod.

Saint Conrad of Constance, from a 19th Century Swiss holy card. The text below the saint reads "St. Conradus, OPN" or "ora pro nobis". In English is reads "St. Conrad, pray for us". St. Conrad is depicted with a spider hanging over a chalice. During Mass one day a spider dropped into the chalice of Precious Blood; though Conrad believed all spiders were poisonous, his love of communion overcame his fear, and he drank the Blood, spider and all. All Saints, Brockhampton The somewhat unusual All Saints Church of Brockhampton can be found in the River Wye Valley, between the city of Hereford and the market town of Ross-on-Wye, in the county of Herefordshire, England. It is one of only a few churches in the country to have a thatched roof. The architect was William Lethaby and the building was completed in 1902. Even more remarkably, a replica of the church exists on the 21st and 22nd floors of a tower block in Japan's second city, Osaka. Apparently, many Japanese couples aspire to be wed in a European church. All Saints Street Neil x Lily

Born to the Italian nobility who grew up in a castle, the son of Ferdinand Gonzaga, a prince in the Holy Roman Emperor. Trained from age four as a soldier and courtier. Served as a page in the Spanish court. He suffered from kidney disease, which he considered a blessing as it left him bed-ridden with time for prayer. While still a boy himself, he taught catechism to poor boys. At age 18, Aloysius signed away his legal claim to his family’s lands and title to his brother, and became a Jesuit novice. Tended plague victims in Rome, Italy in the outbreak of 1591 during which he caught the disease that killed him at age 23. Memorial: June 21
