Bobby Seale and Huey Newton - Oakland California 1966 Black Panther Party Magnet
by UrbanLifeApparel
$3.75 $4.75
Description: An Attack Against One Is An Attack Against All... The Black Panther Party fought against police brutality, promoted activism that organized, educated and fed their community while being mercilessly hunted by the FBI. While this history might be new to many, it isn’t to the activists who have inherited many aspects of their work from the Panthers: their socialist ideals and focus on grassroots organizing. On a larger scale, some of the ideas that the Black Panthers espoused—including prison abolition—have begun making their way into mainstream discourse. The Slaughter of Black People Must Be Stopped!

Its Free Breakfast for Children program and free health clinics grew into a national model of community care. A tribute to Black Power, Pan-African history and 60 years of the Party's legacy. Description: On August 7, 1970, heavily armed 17-year-old African-American high-school student Jonathan Jackson, whose brother was George Jackson, one of the three Soledad Brothers, gained control of a courtroom in Marin County, California. He armed the black defendants and took Judge Harold Haley, the prosecutor, and three female jurors as hostages. As Jackson transported the hostages and two black defendants away from the courtroom, one of the defendants, James McClain, shot at the police. The police returned fire. The judge and the three black men were killed in the melee; one of the jurors and the prosecutor were injured.
