Bustard Magnets

The heaviest flying bird, the bustard is present in continental Portugal but a rare sight, as they prefer the open planes of Alentejo but they are extremely shy. Before you even realise, they're taking off in the distant.

Denham's Bustard

Kori Bustard, Ardeotis kori, in grasslands of Amboseli National Park, Kenya, East Africa. Kori Bustards are the heaviest flying bird at about 12 kilograms. The great Bustard has been listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List since 1996.
