Cogita Magnets

Description: A striking linocut-style reinterpretation of a historical memento mori illustration, exploring mortality, the transience of earthly existence and the inevitability of death. A skeletal figure crosses its arms over its exposed ribcage while a serpent emerges from its mouth. Curling vermilion banners surround the skull, recalling the moral inscriptions of early European death imagery. Rendered in warm ivory, vermilion red, antique gold and muted olive against structural black, the composition combines Gothic symbolism with bold, contemporary relief-print aesthetics.
