Cormorant - a previously endangered species this beautiful water fowl is making a comeback in a big way. I love this bird as it is such a beautiful representation of strength & resilience. A reminder that no matter what we go through, either right mindset there’s always a way to come back stronger.

This particular bird is drawn from a photograph I took at a local park. Drawn by hand in ink using a stippling or dot work technique.

The Little Black Cormorant is found in coastal waters, estuaries and inlets, inland rivers, lagoons and wetlands throughout much of Australia and northern New Zealand. It is seldom seen on dry land, but is often seen resting on rocks, jetties and other perches in water. This photo was taken in Sydney, Australia.
