Hawk Skull Magnets
Description: A vintage Japanese-inspired illustration featuring a majestic falcon perched upon a weathered skull, surrounded by blooming chrysanthemums and cherry blossoms. Hidden within the authentic Japanese typography is the philosophical message: "Death Is Just a Phase." Inspired by traditional ukiyo-e, woodblock prints, and Japanese symbolism, this artwork blends themes of impermanence, renewal, and nature into a timeless design with striking vintage character.
Description: The skull-like pattern and its fanciful associations with the supernatural and evil have fostered superstitious fears of Acherontia species, particularly Acherontia atropos, perhaps because it is the most widely known. The moths' sharp, mouse-like squeaking intensify the effect. Nor is this a new attitude: during the mid-19th century, entomologist Edward Newman, having earlier mentioned the mark on the thorax wrote: "However, let the cause of the noise be what it may, the effect is to produce the most superstitious feelings among the uneducated, by whom it is always regarded with feelings of awe and terror."
Description: I've always loved skulls, influenced by attractive skateboard designs from Powell Peralta, such as Tony Hawk, Mike McGill, and the entire Bones Brigade. Also remember so many vinyls with a series of skulls of the time, I think that to this day they have never gone out of style, long live the skulls!
Description: A death's head hawk moth with skull marking, black-white wings, purple iris flowers, Victorian black lace, "DEATH COMES SOFTLY" banner. Gothic moth art celebrating dark beauty, transformation, and European folklore—perfect for gothic aesthetics, moth enthusiasts, and Victorian macabre collectors.
