Under the Jetty' five colour reduction linocut was created from a reference photo I took at Port Noarlunga Jetty, South Australia. I enjoy being under a jetty, protected from the sun with the smells of wet wood, sounds of water lapping at its posts and beach, and seeing the shadows that are created in the water from the structure. This print was a lot of work with careful colour and cutting consideration.

Mesmerising view from Jetty oil painting was created from a reference photo I took from the Port Noarlunga Jetty, South Australia. I love meditating on the waters from a jetty and becoming mesmerised by the shapes and colours created in the water. I imagine what creatures are below the surface and if I would be catching fish if I had a line in. The day I took the photo was a bright sunny day and the water was an amazing emerald green.

Keswick's local lake is only a ten minute walk from the centre of town. To its west rise the fells of Cat Bells. To the east is the fantastic viewpoint of Friar's Crag, jutting into the lake. And its southern foot is the entrance to the beautiful Borrowdale valley

To be under a jetty is great for my senses. I can take in the smell of the wood and sea and watch the water lapping against the poles. Do you also enjoy being under a jetty?. This painting was created from a reference photo I took while standing under the Glenelg jetty, Adelaide. I am currently creating a series of jetty paintings from reference photos I am capturing along the South Australian coastline.

Largs Bay Jetty

Under Port Noarlunga Jetty oil painting was created from a reference photo I captured while standing on the sand under the Port Noarlunga Jetty. The jetty is a popular diving and fishing site and the beach is one of the most picturesque beaches in South Australia with clean sand and water. The jetty casts a blue shadow on the golden sand. The sea in the distance in turquoise.

I captured the reference photo for Moonta Jetty while standing on the jetty of Moonta Bay. The green waters contrasted with the rustic wood of the jetty. You can imagine standing on the jetty casting a line or being mesmerised by the water below.

Busselton Jetty in the South West of Western Australia... it is funny how life has changed since I took this photo. When I took this photo we were just visiting Western Australia and living in Queensland. Since then we moved to Western Australia and then moved to Busselton from Perth... so this place is now home!
