Lower-case "L" and upper-case "I" can look the same in some fonts, so the standards people got involved and decreed that "IMHO" got there first, and "LMHO" would have to change. Why they chose the "A", nobody knows - according to rumour, it stands for "Laughing My ANSI-standard head Off". Honestly, what are they like...

Description: A Gorilla Tied Up by a Chameleon's Tongue This is an impossible situation: a gorilla tied up by a chameleon's tongue. I deliberately designed this, something that would only happen to a masochistic gorilla. I wanted to create something that would make people chuckle at first sight. I'd be happy if people found this design "a little funny," and even happier if it were used for some kind of merchandise.
