Description: Lumpsuckers (Eumicrotremus orbis) are some of my favorite fish in the Salish Sea. Their pelvic fins have evolved into a suction cup on their belly and instead of scales, they have cone-shaped plates, called tubercles. And they are cute!

Description: Spiny Lumpsuckers are really unique animals. Often referred to as ping pong balls with fins. This drawing captures the comical and slightly bizarre character of this fish.
