Description: Billed as the tallest, fastest and steepest stand-up roller coaster in the world when it opened on May 11, 1996, Mantis was a destination ride for any coaster aficionado during its near twenty-year run. The ride featured a 119-foot tall vertical loop, diving loop, and the first ever inclined loop. Trains on Mantis traveled up 145 feet in the air, before being dropped back down to earth 137 feet at 60 miles per hour.
