The Edmonton Trappers were a minor league baseball team in Edmonton, Alberta. They were a part of the Triple-A level in the Pacific Coast League, from 1981 to 2004. In 1984, the Trappers (then the Triple-A affiliate of the California Angels) became the first Canadian franchise to win a championship. They were also the only team to win a PCL championship, and first to win any championship, under affiliation with the Angels. Home games were played at Telus Field in downtown Edmonton.

A team known as the Jacksonville Suns competed in the Triple-A International League from 1962 to 1968. The franchise was relocated to Norfolk, Virginia, as the Tidewater Tides in 1969. After one season without professional baseball, a different Suns team came to the city in 1970 as members of the Double-A Southern League (SL). From 1985 to 1990, the team was known as the Jacksonville Expos during an affiliation with the Montreal Expos, but they returned to the Suns moniker in 1991. The club rebranded as the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp before the 2017 season.

The Cape Fear Crocs were a minor league baseball team in Fayetteville, North Carolina. They were a low Class-A baseball team which played in the South Atlantic League, and were a farm team of the Montreal Expos for the franchise's entire tenure as the Cape Fear Crocs. They played all of their home games at J. P. Riddle Stadium and were previously known as the Fayetteville Generals.

In 1998, the Will County Cheetahs of the Heartland League moved to Midlothian, IL, where they became the Cook County Cheetahs. Managed by Brian Dayett, they were 23-11 in the first half, a half-game behind the top Tennessee Tomahawks. They were last in the second half at 14-18 but stunned the Tomahawks in back-to-back games in the playoffs for the title. The Cheetahs were last in attendance (10,552) among the clubs that survived the season, the last for the league. All-Stars were 2B Neil Bradshaw (.264) and P Derek Santiago (8-3 with a league-leading 2.17 ERA).

The team was the relocated Columbus Jets. In 1977 the franchise was returned to Columbus and Charlies owner Robert Lavine purchased the Memphis Blues, moving the team to Charleston, assuming the Charlies' name. The Charlies were affiliated with the Pittsburgh Pirates (1971–76), Houston Astros (1977–79), Texas Rangers (1980), and Cleveland Indians (1981–83).

The Denver Bears were a minor league professional baseball team dating from the 50's until 1983 when the team was renamed the Zephyrs. There was an earlier Denver Bears team playing in the Western League from 1901 to 1954, but this logo is from the later team that played at what became known later as Mile High Stadium, but was originally known as Bears Stadium.

The Lamesa Lobos (a.k.a. Lamesa Dodgers and Lamesa Indians) were a minor league baseball team based in Lamesa, Texas. They played in the West Texas–New Mexico League from 1939 to 1942, shut down for World War II, and then resumed from 1946–1952. They moved to the Longhorn League in 1953 and moved on June 3 to become the Winters-Ballinger Eagles (representing both Winters, Texas and Ballinger, Texas). In 1957 the Midland Indians of the Southwestern League moved to town and became the Lamesa Indians for the rest of the season.

The Columbus Jets were a Minor League baseball team that played in Columbus, Ohio, from 1955 to 1970. The team moved from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada where they were known as the Ottawa Athletics. The Jets were a member of the Triple-A International League. The Jets' name came from Columbus' role in manufacturing aircraft by North American Aviation for World War II. They were the Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Athletics (1955–56) and Pittsburgh Pirates (1957–70). The Jets played their home games at Jets Stadium.

The Portland Mavericks were an independent professional baseball team based in Portland, Oregon. They began play in the short-season Class A Northwest League in 1973, after the Portland Beavers of the Pacific Coast League left after the 1972 season and became the Spokane Indians. The Mavericks operated as an independent club in Portland for five seasons, until the return of the PCL in 1978, and played home games on artificial turf at Civic Stadium in Portland.

The team changed names many times, and in 1992 Rockford became a Kansas City Royals affiliate for the next two seasons. In 1995 the team changed again to the Rockford Cubbies.

The Clinton Owls were a Minor League Baseball team based in Clinton, Iowa, United States, that operated in the Illinois–Indiana–Iowa League in 1937–1938 as an affiliate of the Brooklyn Dodgers. From 1939–1940 they were an affiliate of the New York Giants and were known as the Clinton Giants. The team was disbanded at the onset of World War II. Today, the Clinton franchise is the Clinton LumberKings who still play at Riverview Stadium, now called NelsonCorp Field.

The El Paso Diablos of El Paso, Texas, was a team identity that existed in the Texas League for thirty-one seasons, from 1974 to 2013. Over that time period, they served as the Double-A affiliate of three MLB teams: the California Angels, Milwaukee Brewers, and Arizona Diamondbacks.
