Its usage is similar to the Hawaiian word "aloha," which may be used as both a greeting and a farewell since Mork also uses the phrase in his weekly mental reports to Orson.

(Don't forget he wrote his own material as well as improvising the sh** out of everything he ever performed in. A hilarious gentleman gone too soon. But hopefully an eternal inspiration to the wacky, the creative and the kooky. Writers fit that bill.
