Curiosities: Clawless otters are characterized by only partial webbing (between the toes of their back feet and no webbing on their front feet), and small, blunt, peg-like claws. Latin name "Aonyx" means without claws. Asian small-clawed otters are the smallest extant otter species, about 100 cms included the tail and only weights 1 to 5.4 kg.
