Description: The legendary Fillmore East was rock promoter Bill Graham's rock venue on Second Avenue near East 6th Street in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. It was open from March 8, 1968, to June 27, 1971, during which it featured some of the greatest musical acts of all time. Jimi Hendrix recorded "Band of Gypsys" there, while the Allman Brothers Band, Joe Cocker, Frank Zappa, the Grateful Dead, The Who, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Jefferson Airplane and Miles Davis all recorded multiple live albums of their own. Description: The Long Island Cougars were a minor league professional ice hockey team that played at the Long Island Arena in Commack, New York, from 1973 to 1975. The Cougars were a member of the North American Hockey League, and were runners up for the Lockhart Trophy to the Syracuse Blazers in the 1973–74 season. After the 1974-75 season, they would move to Pennsylvania and become the Erie Blades, who enjoyed much more on-ice success.
