Looking over the River Thames at Henley in Oxfordshire. Rising above the riverside buildings is the C16th tower of the parish church of St Mary the Virgin. Further upriver cab be seen Henley Bridge constructed in 1786. Henley is probably most famous for the annual Royal Regatta - the 'Royal' status being given when Prince Albert became patron in 1851.

The village of Iffley-on-Thames at Oxford. At this point the river is properly called The Isis and as you walk along the Thames Path from here to Oxford you pass the Oxford University's college boathouses. The village itself is a conservation area, its narrow streets leading down to the river where you cross the weir to reach the lock. In the background, rising above the trees, is the Norman church of St Mary the Virgin, a Grade 1 listed building.

I discovered this old green abandoned house when I first moved to northern Oklahoma in 2019. Something about it has me taking photos each and every time I’m in the area. It’s the same yet always different as time and seasons go by.
