Goddess Parvati is wife to Lord Shiva and the Goddess of Fertility, Love and Beauty. In Indian mythology, she is known for her resolve to marry Shiva against her parent’s wishes and to have brought him out of his asceticism.

Today 13th Oct 2015 is the start of Navaratri festival in India. It's the workship & celebration of Goddess Durga for next 9 days. In West Bengal it is the most important festival of the year. It is celebrated at the community level and also by individual family. In our family it's the most auspicious occasion where the whole house is cleaned completely and made ready for the festival. First day installation of goddess is done and do special prayer 2 times a day for next 9 days. Evening come all go out dance garb style and celebrate enjoy the festive mood. Love it.

"Rudra Veena" holds a significant place in Hindu mythology. A musical instrument symbolizing the union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Its origin is attributed to Lord Shiva, often depicted as the ultimate musician playing the Veena, with Parvati as his eager audience. The instrument's name "Rudra Veena" is derived from one of Shiva's names, "Rudra," signifying his fierce and awe-inspiring aspect. Shiva the creator of the instrument made the instrument in the image of Parvati, inspired by her beauty. The Veena's resonant tones are believed to echo the cosmic vibrations that underlie creation, representing the primal sound of the universe.
