An original photograph of the owl taken at a local rescue centre has been abstracted through a series of computerized treatments to result in a very individual stylized primary colored illustrative portrait. This snowy owl was captured in Pennsylvania's Allegheny Mountains during winter near an old farmhouse. The owl had staked out its hunting territory and I watched it for several days, swooping to catch its prey - always returning to this old fence post.
