This Major Arcana tarot card has been re-imagined with the maiden goddess Persephone as she represents the essence of The Fool due to her naivete which leads to her abduction by Hades. As Greek mythology tells us, Persephone was picking flowers during the season of spring when a chasm in the ground beneath her opened up. Hades emerges from the smoke below with plans to kidnap the naive maiden goddess. A parrot attempts to warn her of the dangers ahead, but it is to no avail to the oblivious woman. Mount Olympus stands tall above the clouds symbolizing the obstacles the young woman will need to overcome in order to become the respected goddess we know...
