Tea time rabbit wants to know if you want tea. Alice in wonderland style

'Stolen Moments' is a stll life watercolour painting but as is often my way I have added some actual life, this time in the form of a jackdaw perched on the bowl. Exploiting the superb granulation properties of my Daniel Smith watercolours I spent many happy hours producing the different textures, wood grain and the reflections in the silverware in this scene before adding the bird to the composition, bringing the painting to life and serving to give the viewer the hint of a story.
