The Pere Marquette Railway operated in the Great Lakes region of the United States and southern parts of Ontario in Canada. It had trackage in the states of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and the Canadian province of Ontario. Its primary connections included Buffalo; Toledo; and Chicago.

This drawing shows an S160 in USA Transportation Corps grey livery, similar to one that can be seen on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway in Yorkshire.

A jewel of Lancaster County Pennsylvania, the Strasburg Railroad has been operating as a tourist train since 1958. Locomotive 90 is a 2-10-0 built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1924 for the Great Western Railway of Colorado. It was purchased by Strasburg in 1967.
