The Rainbow Crow is a supposed Lenape folktale (but contested— some say it might have Cherokee origins). In the story, Crow made the arduous journey to the Great Spirit to bring fire to his fellow animals during a time of cold and darkness. He carried the fire in his beak, losing his beautiful voice, and his rainbow plumage was scorched black. I personally saw this story as a representation of how we choose develop our relationship with our self, community, and Great Spirit… and why the journey of life is so important. Crow is transformation and wisdom obtained from hardship and the gift of spiritual communion that comes from our sacrifices. The shirt is inspired by this tale and geared to encourage learning folktales from all cultures.

Crow-matic aberration / chromatic aberration pun featuring a cute crow! Different colours of light have different wavelengths. Chromatic aberration is the effect you see when a glass lens refracts light such that the colours don't meet at the same focal point, resulting in a colour offset effect (can be seen in some photographs - you might for example see red lines to one side of an object and blue lines to the other side). The effect is most pronounced with red light (long wavelength) and blue light (short wavelength).
