Snowdrops always had a strong link to death for me. The beautiful morbidity as they breathe new breath. The end of Winter, the beginning of warmth. Rebirth. The gentle reminder that even after death, we feed beauty.

Inspired by a lot of funny stories of rats and usually the cartoon idea of a rat. He is depicted being in a champion cup winner written near it.

In 1996 I had the honor to design the cover of my favorite academic journal on the planet, Camera Obscura. I also had an article in that issue on Warner Brothers animation's Speedy Gonzales.
