Rover Magnets

Rover is a former British car manufacturing company founded as Starley & Sutton Co. of Coventry in 1878. It is the direct ancestor of the present day Land Rover company, which is a subsidiary of Jaguar Land Rover, in turn owned by the Tata Group. Throughout the long history of ups and downs, Rover has used emblems, based on the Viking theme. The latest version, used from 2003 to 2005, saw the Viking longship become silver with red sails.

Weymouth Rover Number of views as of 4th March 2018 = 875. A rather fine classic car, pictured on Weymouth promenade (Dorset, England), believed to be a 1948 Rover 12 Sports Tourer. Rover 12 production began in 1905 and continued until the late 1940s, with several 'updates' along the way and gaps in production during the war years.
