I am very fond of those traditional patterns in Scandinavian embroidery. This pattern is a stylized version of an example from my own collection.

This design is inspired by a beautifully embroidered 1970's folk inspired blouse I saw in a shop window. I loved how the colours popped on the dark background. I'm still playing around with transparency & simple shapes.
