Description: Pingo Doce is Portuguese for 'sweet drop' and the key ingredient of Pingo Doce soda is the highly caffeinated seeds of the Guarana plant. Guarana is named for the Guarani tribe in the Amazon Basin, which uses its seeds to brew a drink as well as for medicinal purposes. When Bruce Banner lived in Rio de Janeiro, he worked at the Pingo Doce plant where their sodas were produced. After Banner was cut at work, his gamma-irradiated blood dripped into one of the bottles where it was eventually consumed by the Watcher Informant in Milwaukee. General Thaddeus Ross used the incident to track Banner to his location in Brazil.
