Trieste is a really beautiful city full of culture and history, the architecture all over the city (including a castle!) is incredible and the local people with their fun accent and incredible stories were very fascinating. This photo captures the last hour on the promenade of Trieste before taking the train back home - it was such a great sunny and clear day and when the evening came, the sunset did not disappoint. Amazing shades of pink, purple, blue and orange!

The autumn sun in the pale wintry sky shines through the forest canopy. As it creates a strong contrast with the maple tree silhouettes, the suns rays stream through the forest shadows. Red orbs created by lens flare appear to float downward from the sky.

It just so happens that after being out on an early shoot with Camera Club to Moelfre that this evening's shoot was less prepared than I thought... I had forgotten to take along with me some filters... So this evening's shoot was using natural light and low exposure... I was shooting with a very fast lens an f/1.4 'nifty fifty' as they say in the business - a Super Takumar by Pentax... A lovely piece of glass made in the 60's and despite its slight radioactivity, some photographers claim this lens is one of the finest ever made, and use it as one of their favourites... It has garnered a legendary reputation online, and is known for its sharpness, bokeh, and propensity for flare... so I thought I'd work with this flare and see what I c...
