Description: The Fillmore District has this fabulous Jazz festival every year over the 4th of July weekend. San Francisco holds several great Jazz festival, but The Fillmore Jazz Festival is the most popular. The Festival offers the best culinary exhibits that San Frans’ can offer also art exhibits to complement it. This is my version of the beautiful promotional poster that year.
Description: The legendary Fillmore East was rock promoter Bill Graham's rock venue on Second Avenue near East 6th Street in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. It was open from March 8, 1968, to June 27, 1971, during which it featured some of the greatest musical acts of all time. Jimi Hendrix recorded "Band of Gypsys" there, while the Allman Brothers Band, Joe Cocker, Frank Zappa, the Grateful Dead, The Who, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Jefferson Airplane and Miles Davis all recorded multiple live albums of their own. It was also a favorite spot for John Lennon, Led Zepplin, the Kinks, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Van Morrison and many more. An accurate replica you can say you scored from good will.
