It's really cold here - mid winter! - and I'm in the mood for chunky knits and hot chocolate. This pattern was created from hand drawn pencil elements. One of two color versions.

Hand drawn and coloured with pencil crayons. Here they are, asleep in eachother's arms after a hard day fighting off evil balls of yarn with ambitions of world domination...

A repeat created from hand painted watercolor patterns, in nude / neutral shades of golden tan, soft cream and brown.

I like pandas. I like donuts. I like drawing nonsense stuff. Something that involves all three is right up my street. : )

We have this ancient, white-painted, falling-apart table in our old farmhouse, I photographed it and overlayed it with a hand drawn doodle star pattern of mine.

But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows. Matthew 10:30,31 Hand drawn with pencil then coloured and made into a repeat pattern in Photoshop.

This is a drawing that Tane (8) did for me, and that I coloured by hand and in photoshop. They are (from left to right) Tane, Grace, Perrin and Mila, my lovely daughters. Grace has asked for this as a T shirt.

I can sit and doodle all day, the hours just disappear. This is a hand drawn doodle of mine, with added butterflies. : )

I wanted to make strawberry patterns, first with a simple photograph with the strawberries arranged in some semblance of a polka dot pattern and secondly, digitally using the strawberries to make a true repeat pattern. Just experimenting and playing with ideas. So this is the photo version, obviously.

I spent a lovely afternoon yesterday, with a new pencil, clean paper, mellow music playing and flowers on the table in front of me that my six year old picked for me in the garden. This is what came of it. : )
