Vivid Magnets

The Sydney Vivid Light & Music Festival kicked off tonight, May 24 with (amongst other highlights) a colourful dynamic display of lights beamed onto the Sydney Opera House. After about 30 - 40 minutes the heavens opened & most people ran for cover from heavy rain. My view from my vantage point at the Quay was often interrupted by cruise boats & ferries. This is the highlight of the Sydney winter & for those visiting Sydney this is a must see. The display rivals the great entertainment of 2011. Ghost face. Mystic spirit in vivid space

Red, green, blue, and brown clouds spin, twirl, and feather out in this cosmic-looking twirl. Although this is digitally rendered art, it reminds me of cosmic nebulae, tie-dye, or organic matter in the body. The shapes almost appear to be growing and morphing into the various color blends.

I felt like celebrating when I was drawing this artwork. I felt like celebrating my life, being a woman, and just generally, being alive. I didn't feel like confining myself with recognizable shapes and forms - I just wanted my feelings and emotions to flow. This is a bright and happy artwork that will make your life even more magical - something to keep celebrating!
