Description: Based in the town of Lititz in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Old Pal, Inc. produced what many consider the original modern tackle boxes. While original tackle boxes were metal in construction with lift-out trays, Old Pal's design leverage space-age plastics and hinged trays that would rise up and to the sides when the box was opened, allowing easy access to the tackle within, Old Pal also produced storage accessories like minnow buckets and bait containers that nested nicely in their tackle boxes, truly earning them the title of 'fisherman's friend.'
