Mary Stuart Merch
Description: The Stuart dynasty was a period of English, Scottish, and Irish history that lasted from 1603 to 1714. It was marked by civil wars, religious conflicts, the union of Scotland and England, and the rise of parliamentary power. Key monarchs include James I, Charles I, Charles II, James II, and William III. The Glorious Revolution saw William III replace James II as king, leading to constitutional changes and the beginning of the modern British monarchy.
Description: Under his reign, England became the greatest economic, political and cultural power in Europe and, therefore, the period of his reign is known as the English "Golden Age". Assuming the throne after the death of her sister Mary I, Elizabeth I began the most prosperous government of the Thudor dynasty.
