The pig is a robust mammal whose shape resembles that of a barrel. He is an animal famous for having a great appetite. Some pigs are wild and some are domestic (man-raised). Pigs are also called swine. Domestic pigs live on every continent except Antarctica. Various types of wild pigs are found in Europe, Asia, Africa and parts of the Americas. The peccary, also known as the peccary, is a relative of wild boar and can be found from the southwest of the United States to Patagonia. Wild pigs live in forests and open fields. China has the world's largest domestic swine population, followed by the United States.
