Ontario Barn at Sunset Mug

This image is of a barn I often drive past at around sunset. The barn is on Airport Road in Huron County, Ontario. I suppose that a farmhouse stood by the barn at some point, but today it sits alone in a field, surrounded by the crop for that year. Unlike so many barns of its era, this one is excellent condition and is surely a matter of pride to the farmer that owns it. What I love about this image is the simplicity: the late afternoon radiance in the sky, the golden glow off the crops, the small grouping of trees, and, of course, the barn that looks so settled into its surrounding landscape.
