Mos Eisley was a spaceport on the desert planet of Tatooine. It was located on the Great Mesra Plateau, north of Anchorhead, and southeast of the Jundland Wastes. The spaceport, while lacking a primary landing facility, contained 362 hangars in which arrivals could berth. The city had wide, sandy streets and many buildings of various sizes. Paradise Road, Straight Street, Kerner Plaza Outer Curved Street, Inner Curved Street, Corporations Road, Dune Street, and the Spacers Row were streets that passed through parts of the town. The crashed Dowager Queen colony ship was a landmark. Mos Eisley was home to various species of aliens from throughout the galaxy. One part of the city was known as the Old Quarter.

Tatooine was a sparsely inhabited circumbinary desert planet located in the galaxy's Outer Rim Territories. Part of a binary star system, the planet orbited two scorching suns, resulting in the world lacking the necessary surface water to sustain large populations. As a result, many residents of the planet instead drew water from the atmosphere via moisture farms. The planet also had little surface vegetation. It was the homeworld to the native Jawa and Tusken Raider species and of Anakin and Luke Skywalker, who would go on to shape galactic history.

Bakiska's was a data repeater service that operated on the planet Lothal during the Age of the Empire. Bakiska's was known to operate a data warehouse in Capital City's Lower Gallo area. The Vocational School for Institutional Security student and rebel sympathizer Merei Spanjaf maintained an account with Bakiska's. After the Imperial authorities managed to track down one of the snooper programs she had used during a data breach at the Imperial Transportation Ministry, Merei and her classmate Jix Hekyl toyed with the idea of deleting her account at Bakiska's.

The vast expanse of the desert can often feel overwhelming and isolating, but amidst the endless dunes lies a glimmer of hope. With each step, I am reminded of the resilience and adaptability of life in even the harshest of environments. The sun beats down relentlessly, but the occasional breeze brings a refreshing reprieve. I am grateful for this small mercy, and it gives me the strength to continue on my journey. As I trek through the desert, I am filled with a sense of awe at the beauty of this seemingly barren landscape. There is a certain stillness and peace that comes with being surrounded by nothing but sand and sky. It may be a challenging and unpredictable terrain, but there is a new sense of hope that has emerged within me.

Tusken Raiders, less formally referred to as Sand People or simply as Tuskens, were a culture of nomadic sentients indigenous to the desert planet Tatooine, where they were often hostile to local settlers. Tusken children were called Uli-ah. The name of Tusken Raiders was acquired much later, due to a period of concerted attacks on the settlement called Fort Tusken around eight decades before 19 BBY. One tribe captured the bounty hunter Boba Fett, but accepted him into their tribe after he had proved his worth to them.
