A digital composite of Spitfires flying out of the sun to attack. All images used are my own. Three separate aircraft images and a sky image of my own, blended together in CS3.

Image of three Spitfires of 222 Squadron with an added background of a Harris Hawk. The Spitfire image is the same one replicated twice from the original. I then researched 222 squadron and found two more aircraft registrations, which I then changed on the two replicated planes. I added the Harris Hawk image which is a picture of a Harris Hawk on the glove in a zoo against a sunset sky of my own. I also cloned out the glove. The images were all blended together in CS3 using layers and with some help from Nik Color Efex filters. A total of five images were used to create this image.

In 1984, this US Sherman Tank was raised from the sea near Torcross in South Devon, UK, by a local hotelier who bought it from the US Government for $50 and it now stands at Torcross as a memorial to the US servicemen who died in a D-Day training exercise in 1943 off Slapton. (Nikon D5200)

Impressions of Dungeness This image was made using five of my own photos put together in CS3. Inspired by a story my dad told me about watching Spitfires and Hurricanes turn back Doodlebugs out at sea as he stood on the beach at Dungeness. For the full story click HERE

Miller's Department Store was a chain of department stores based in East Tennessee. Miller's traced its history to the New York Racket Store, established in 1889 at 510 Market Street in Chattanooga by brothers Gus and Frank Miller. After a fire destroyed the Richardson Building in 1897, the brothers built a new store at Seventh and Market Streets that was known as Miller Brothers Department Store. Miller Brothers Department Store of Chattanooga remained a privately held company until 1973. A son of Gus Miller later become one of the founders of Miller, Inc. in Knoxville.
