Description: Floral chintz patterns date back to the early 17th century when adventurers were busy exploring and searching for the new world. Coming back from the East several explorers brought with them fantastically decorated Calico fabrics from India. Calico is a plain-woven textile made from unbleached and often not fully processed cotton.
Description: Peacock feather with love heart centre. Hand drawn original design and inspired by my own love of peacock feathers. Peacock feathers apparently represent pride and mobility and glory. I love the colours and the heart was a last minute addition that I think was one of my better ideas.
