Bird Species Mugs
Description: 6 New Zealand birds. I drew these out as a mural a few years ago. Recently I decided to remake them graphically, it was a fun project for me. Revisiting my old work using technology to improve and refine my early work. I used Koru patterns. The koru (Māori for "loop" is a spiral shape based on the shape of a new unfurling silver fern frond and symbolizing new life, growth, strength and peace. New Zealand has so many wonderful birds, we are lucky to have them. Featuring Takahe, Kiwi, Fantail, Silvereye, Rock Wren, and Tomtit. A great gift for a Kiwi who misses home, or even one that you want to remind how great home is.
