Description: The Old English Bulldog was preserved by working class immigrants who brought their working dogs with them to the American South. Small farmers and ranchers used this all-around working dog for many tasks including farm guardians, stock dogs and catch dogs. These dogs were not an actual breed as considered by today's standards but were a generic bulldog type. There were no recorded pedigrees or records and breeding decisions were dependent on the best working farm dogs despite breed or background. Several separate strains of the "bulldog" type dogs were kept by ranchers as utilitarian working dogs.

Description: You can't go wrong with Northwest coast Haida art, it's been popular for decades. These First Nations designs are ideal for apparel and always look good. Formline is an indigenous art made by the First Nation people of Northwest coast of North America. The term formline is invented by Bill Holm. We use the word since 1965, but the art is many hundreds of years old. The idea is to create a flowing continuous line with increasing and decreasing thickness. We get negative spaces with a dominant black outline. The negative spaces are filled with formline type ornaments or elements. The main forms are ovoids, U forms and S forms. With these forms the artist composes a complete formline.
Description: American Revolution - Paul Revere was a silversmith in colonial Boston. He is famous for his midnight ride to warn colonists about the British troops who were poised to attack. On the night of April 18, 1775, Paul Revere rode from Boston to Lexington, Massachusetts. He wanted to warn patriot leaders John Hancock and Samuel Adams that British troops were coming to arrest them. Contrary to popular legend, he did not shout "The British are coming", as most colonists still saw themselves as British. Revere warned people that "the regulars" (the British army soldiers) were coming out.
