Description: Cockshutt was based in Brantford, Ontario, Canada and was finally able to enter the U.S. market by signing an agreement with the Bellevue, Ohio based National Farm Machinery Co-operative (NFMC) in 1945. This deal had NFMC acting as their exclusive dealer network in the states which brought Cockshutt's innovative line of tractors and equipment south of the border where they quickly became popular with American farmers throughout the midwest.
