"The power of the silver wolf's head is legendary." Barnabas Collins' iconic wolf's head cane and onyx ring were integral to the image of the character. He was rarely seen without at least one of them, and was usually in possession of both. Here they help to lend a little gravitas, and the weight of ancestral responsibilities, to Barnabas' soulful expression. It’s a parody of an homage wrapped inside an enugma. There’s a LOT going on here.

Dark Shadows was full of monsters - both literal and figurative - but none were as captivating as Barnabas Collins himself. As a man, of course, he was charming. But as a monster, he was spellbinding. Here we see him in monster form - fangs out, eyes bright, relishing the bloodlust and rejoicing in his darkness. With this design you, too, can revel in your own dark side. Wear it on a t-shirt, or let Barnabas guard your living room on a pillow. He also makes the perfect mask - at the moment, we need to be given plenty of space, and after all, who wants to mess with Barnabas the vampire?

Barnabas Collins is a fictional character, a featured role in the ABC daytime serial Dark Shadows, which aired from 1966 to 1971. Barnabas is a 175-year-old vampire in search of fresh blood and his lost love, Josette. The character, originally played by Canadian actor Jonathan Frid, was introduced in an attempt to resurrect the show's flagging ratings, and was originally to have only a brief 13-week run. He was retained due to his popularity and the program's quick spike in ratings, and virtually became the star of the show.

The innocent and naïve beauty from Martinique, Josette du Pres was Barnabas Collins’ lively, carefree fiancée when she arrived at Collinwood in 1795. But her happiness - and Barnabas’ - was to be short-lived, thanks to Angelique’s jealousy and the terrible, dark magic that would seal her fate forever on Widows’ Hill. While we cannot offer a music box, perhaps you’d care to re-create the atmosphere of the Old House, with a portrait of Josette watching over you - to protect you from the Matthew Morgans of this world, and the dreadful terrors of the next.

Dark Shadows is an American gothic soap opera that aired weekdays on the ABC television network from June 27, 1966, to April 2, 1971. The show depicted the lives, loves, trials, and tribulations of the wealthy Collins family of Collinsport, Maine, where a number of supernatural occurrences take place.

“A Way is needed which contains a concept of Absolute Existence that includes both the Light and the Dark, and Life and Death. If, for instance, Christianity might see Lucifer as the complement and not the enemy, it might take a valuable step on the road to becoming more holistic and respectful of the human reality. If the Divine cannot partake of the Shadow, it cannot be the Divine, for the Divine cannot truly nourish humanity if it only feeds one pole of the human being.”

The Blue Whale was a Pub on the classic 60's TV show Dark Shadows. This is my homage to a early soap classic.
