Description: The Sands Hotel and Casino was a historic hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada, United States, that operated from 1952 to 1996. Designed by the architect Wayne McAllister, with a prominent 56-foot (17 m) high sign, the Sands was the seventh resort to open on the Strip. During its heyday, the Sands was the center of entertainment and "cool" on the Strip, and hosted many famous entertainers of the day, most notably the Rat Pack.
Description: The Sahara Hotel & Casino was a hotel on the Las Vegas Strip which opened on October 7, 1952 and closed on May 16, 2011. It boasted signature attractions such as the NASCAR Speed Zone Cafe and Speed: The Ride. Sahara was home to many classic performers in the past such as the Rat Pack, Jack Benny, and Abbott & Costello. The 1960 version of Ocean's Eleven was filmed at Sahara, as well. It's statistics included having 1,720 rooms, and having a total gaming space of 85,000 square feet. It possesed a Morrocan theme, and was previously called Club Bingo. It also used 55 acres of space. The Sahara also had a stop on the Las Vegas Monorail.
Description: Place your bets! Opening on July 1, 1969, with 400 slot machines, 503 hotel rooms and a 14,000 sq ft ground-floor casino, the Landmark was the first high-rise casino in Nevada. The three-story cupola dome at the top of the tower featured a smaller second casino, restaurants and a night club. The Landmark was closed in August 1990 and was later demolished in 1995.

The property began as the Kona Kai Motel in 1962, and was purchased by Ralph Engelstad in 1969. The motel was sold to John Woodrum, who renamed it as the Klondike Inn in 1976
