The massive quarry has been in operation since 1939 when it was started to supply concrete for the construction of the Shasta Dam, and today is responsible for the production of more than half of the cement used in the Bay Area.
Description: Founded in 1959, Clarke Bros. Heavy Transport started out as movers of houses and other structures, eventually expanding into heavy equipment and other oversized, overweight loads. By the mid-seventies, they had added a massive fleet of 200 Autocar dump trucks and began taking on earth moving contracts where tons of material needed to be relocated in a short amount of time.
