Description: Meet Mende. Like many black women across America she grew up in the church but she also grew up in the ghetto. She finds herself constantly trying to navigate both worlds. The church has taught her to love God and put God first. The streets have taught her to not take any mess from anyone or anybody. She often feels that people view her Christianity as some indication that she can be walked over or stepped on. But Mende is not the one.
