Fireworks Mugs
Description: Like most Chinese fireworks, Red Devil Super Firecrackers were manufactured in Macau and while all firecracker brands say they were the loudest, Red Devil brand was actually known for their extra loud bang. First manufactured in 1948 for the Chinese market and distributed worldwide by 1950, they were first imported for American consumers by V. J. Tovatt Co. of Los Angeles.
Description: Red Devil Fireworks was founded in 1948 by Vernon Tovatt in Rialto, California. In the early '50s, it became clear that California was heading towards banning all fireworks, so Tovatt lead the charge to meet with lawmakers in Sacramento. The result was the 'Safe and Sane' law that was passed in 1955 that allowed non-exploding, non-flying fireworks to continue to be sold in California. The Safe and Sane law remains in place today and has been copied by other municipalities throughout America. Red Devil Fireworks maintained both it's headquarters and manufacturing operations in Rialto well into the '70s before moving manufacturing to China and eventually being sold in the late '80s.
Description: Every year the town of Hendersonville, Tennessee celebrates the 4th of July holiday one day early. Traditionally, they put on their own fireworks show the night of July 3, so as to be able to go into nearby Nashville and see the city’s major fireworks display. Even so, the Hendersonville fireworks show is quite impressive, itself. The patriotic and party-loving locals go to great trouble and expense to put on a great event. Fireworks 7 is number 7 of 20 and is Steamy Raimon original photography art.
