Description: On a chilly morning by the frozen lake, a small penguin sat with a tiny fishing rod in flippers, bundled up in a cozy scarf. He peered down at the little hole he had carved in the ice, his beak twitching in anticipation. Every now and then, he’d shuffle his feet, leaving cute little tracks in the snow, hoping for a nibble.
Description: These are Australia's native penguins - Fairy Penguins, also called Little Penguins because they are so small and adorable. They live on Australian shores as far as Sydney Harbour. What would penguins talk about? They would tell fishing stories, of course! Hence the title of the original painting - "I caught a fish this big"! This design is created from my original watercolour artwork, which was based on my own reference photos. Totally unique!
