Five By Five Mugs
Description: “All wings, check in.” “Red 3, standing by.” “No.” “Red 6 sta— what?” “2 comes before 3.” “Wedge, this isn’t the time—” “I am sick of the brown-nosing little twerp barging in because he can’t God damn count!” “Red 5 standing by.” “Shut the hell up, Luke.” A little break from my usual cartooning, just a piece to honour one of the greatest space battles in history.

Description: Five beats. One legend. This original hand-drawn caricature of jazz piano giant Dave Brubeck by Gene (Gwiz) Williams captures the cool, cerebral elegance of the man who made 5/4 time feel like the most natural thing in the world. Featuring the iconic "Take Five" typography integrated directly into the illustration, this design is a love letter to the golden age of jazz quartet performance and the Columbia Records era that changed what popular music could be. Whether you're a jazz pianist, a vinyl collector, a music teacher, or just someone who knows that Time Out is one of the greatest albums ever recorded — this one's for you. Original comic art and caricature by a working artist who has spent four decades drawing the legends.
