Description: The Vampire Lovers is a 1970 British Gothic horror film based on the 1872 Sheridan Le Fanu novella 'Carmilla.' It is the first film in the Karnstein Trilogy, the other two films being Lust for a Vampire (1971) and Twins of Evil (1971). The three films were somewhat daring for the time in explicitly depicting lesbian themes. The story follows a sultry vampiress who bewitches and preys upon the blood of young virgins in order to prolong her unnatural life. The film plays with the well-known vampire myths and crafts an impressively mounted gothic horror production while still making ample time to highlight ample fleshy bits and gore.

Perfect for lovers of queer culture, vintage exploitation cinema, camp aesthetics, drag energy, retro horror, LGBTQ+ pride, and kitschy space vibes. Featuring the bold title “QUEERS FROM OUTER SPACE” and the iconic tagline “They came in peace. And sequins.” A fun statement piece for fans of cult movies, cosmic camp, and unapologetically fabulous extraterrestrial energy.
